The Story of a Photographer


Its great to meet you! Well... Kind of meet you. Hopefully we can meet face to face sometime soon! I’m so thrilled you’re considering me to help bring your vision to life! Whether you’re starting the most challenging, rewarding, exciting, life-changing experience of your lives, or you’re celebrating the moments in between, choosing the right person to work with is a big decision. 


In 2016 I guess you could say I had a quarter-life crisis. It’s like a midlife crisis except you’re 24, broke but full of hope, and people keep asking you when you’re going to figure it all out. I had just completed a year long internship at the Florida Hospital, was nearing the end of grad school, and entering another internship as a financial consultant all to realize an uninspired 9 to 5 desk jobs just wasn’t my thing. I walked away from my first job making real money to pursue my love of documenting human connection as an entrepreneurial creative and I haven’t been happier since!

Today, I get get to say that I wear many hats. 

  • I’m a lover of adventure, dreamers, artists, and slightly addicted to tacos
  • I am the fearless leader of the best Tv Production program Florida has ever seen, inspiring young minds to explore the film and multimedia industry in fun and unique ways
  • The founder of a non profit that is dedicated to making an arts education accessible to everyone and home of the fiercest dance team to grace a stage
  • And of course, the brain behind It’s Jasmine J., a multi-service Photography and Consulting agency!


My style has been described as emotive and romantic, modern, and playful. I apply this style to a range of photography projects including; Central Florida wedding photography, couples + engagements, children + family photography, lifestyle + special event photography, and Central Florida maternity photography.

Where are you based and do you travel?

I'm based in sunny Florida and yes, I love to travel! If you want me to capture your story, I'm always down for a road trip. And just to keep it simple, I only ask that you cover hotel accommodations and travel expenses. No excess fees EVER!

WHAT MAKES YOU STAND OUT AS A PHOTOGRAPHER?

I approach every new client as friends. I have a real, honest desire to learn the stories that have brought you to this point. As a Documentarian, capturing true human emotions and connection, I pride myself on walking away from our shoot not as just your photographer, but as someone that you would go out for tacos with, or grab a drink when it's all said and done.

DO YOU MAKE US POSE A LOT?

Ehhh yes, and no. I'm not a fan of traditional "posing", and you definitely won't find any mall backdrops over here, but I will help prompt you with suggestions that capture your natural essence. Be prepared for sneak attacks, tickle fights, long embraces that make your heart melt, but most importantly...FUN! I know that not everyone is 100% comfortable in front of the lens so I will be there to make you laugh, tell you how AHH-mazing you look, and help guide you through. We will have fun, pinky promise!

WHAT STEPS DO YOU TAKE TO ENSURE WE HAVE AN AWESOME session?

I am not only here to photograph your story, I am about to become your photog bestie. I have hawk eyes for rubber bands on wrists, I pin boutonnieres, powder your nose if you get shiny, I bustle your dress, I make you laugh, I calm your nerves and last but not least.. I listen. This is something that can't be overlooked. You have planned this moment for months on end and I am there to help you every step of the way.

When will we get our photos?

This depends on the investment package you selected but you can expect to receive an online gallery link with all your photos within a maximum of 8 weeks. You can download all the photos from the gallery, share them, choose your favorites, and also order prints, albums, or. other custom gifts!
